What the heck are disulfide bonds

So this month its all things Olaplex. This product has done amazing things for my own hair which makes me even more passionate about sharing it with all of my salon guests. If you ask Olaplex, "What are you?" here is their answer:

"Olaplex is a bond multiplier containing a single active ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. Olaplex works by finding single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross linking them back together to form disulfide bonds before, during and after services. Disulfide bonds are broken via chemical, thermal, and mechanical processes.

Olaplex is the only product of its kind with 8 worldwide patents publishing soon."

Here are the most important things, its not a conditioner (you'll still need one), and it will repair your hair. Conditioners work on the outside layers of your hair. They add in moisture and/or protiens that the hair is lacking. This is of course necessary, but a conditioner will never alone repair your strands. Olaplex can, by going inside that strand and relinking the bonds that we have broken.

Olaplex has three products, commonly referred to as No.1, No.2, and No.3. No.1 and No.2 are for in salon use only and No.3 that can be taken home to continue your hairs transformation. I currently offer three different levels for your in salon Olaplex treatment options. Olaplex Mini, Olaplex Max, and the Olaplex Full treatment.

Olaplex Mini is my special this season for only $10. During a Mini treatment No 2 Bond Perfector is applied at the shampoo bowl and left on the hair during your haircut. My hope is to let everyone experience the magic of Olaplex. If you've been struggling with dryness I would combine this option with a deep conditioning treatment and leave the salon with softer, stronger hair that looks and styles better than before your treatments.

Olaplex Max includes both components of the Olaplex in salon treatment at $25. No. Bond Multiplier is mixed in with your color or lightener to lessen the bonds broken during the chemical service. Then after your color is rinsed we use No. 2 to repair any bonds that did get broken either before or during the chemical service.

Olaplex Full treatment includes No.1, No.2, and No.3 Hair Perfector for you to take home. This is important as it continues the rebuilding of your hair we have done in the salon, along with repairing the bonds broken from styling and hey life when at home. Full treatment is currently $45.

Now if you want to take advantage of my Mini special this month you do not even need to plan ahead. The process is quick and can be done at the same time as any scheduled hair service. You can schedule anytime with my online booking system schedulicity, book now.

See you, and your bonds, in my chair, Jessica
